Note:

This class is a blended learning formatted course. Home internet access is required for this class to complete the course requirements.

All online blended learning assignments must be completed before the first in-person class.

The cost is $50 for the certification and administration fees. Participants must provide proof of: valid lifeguard certification within the 30-day expiration grace period; ability to pass prerequisite and final skills assessments; competency in land- and water-based rescue skills; and pass the final written exam with at least a 80%.

PARTICIPATION DOES NOT GUARANTEE CERTIFICATION.

Please note that this class is a pass/fail program; the department will not issue refunds should the student fail to complete all requirements (after passing the prerequisite skills testing and being admitted into the class).

You will need to come to each class session well-rested, ready to go, and prepared to show required competencies work as this is a review course. Be sure all homework assignments issued by the instructor are completed. Participants must bring a swim suit, hip pack, pocket mask (both adult and infant), access to lifeguard manual, towels, sweats, snacks, etc. as participants are expected to be in and out of the water.
